Welcome to my page! My name is Gisela, pronounced "juh-ze-luh" or G for short. I am the owner and baker at Dessert Designs by Gisela. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, then later raised in Oxnard, California. In 2015, I graduated with my Culinary Arts degree while pregnant with twin boys! After a lot of thinking, I ultimately made the big decision to move from one coast to the other. A week after settling into Charleston I gave birth to my beautiful boys who are now 6 years old! 
The desire of starting my own business and following in my parents entrepreneurial footsteps came to be in early 2017 when Dessert Designs by Gisela was born. Dessert Designs by Gisela is a licensed and insured home-based food production in Summerville, SC operating under the South Carolina Cottage Law.
I love being able to create "edible art" completely from scratch and really bring it to life. I truly appreciate every single order and referral I get. As a small business owner, I wouldn't be where I am without your continuous support. Thank you for allowing me to have a part in your special event!
